At Emma Parker & Co., we will set your own diamond or gemstone in any of our engagement rings. We refer to any diamond not purchased from us as an "heirloom diamond". In your case, this may be a stone that has been in the family for a long time and is now being placed in a new setting, or simply a diamond with particular specifications that you acquired from another vendor.

Can I provide heirloom diamonds as sidestones, or just the center stone?

We can accept your own diamonds or gemstones to be incorporated in place of any standard diamond in a new engagement ring. When providing your own sidestones, please contact us for a custom quote, as this typically reduces the cost of the ring.

How is a new engagement ring customized for my diamond?

Every diamond is unique, not just in overall carat weight, but in its size along all three dimensions. These must be taken into account in our production of your ring, so that the new setting will fit your existing center stone correctly and not have to be bent or re-shaped to accommodate your diamond. You can provide us the measurements (in millimeters) of your heirloom diamond, or send the stone to us for setting in the new ring, and we will ensure a perfect fit.

How should I transport my heirloom diamond to Emma Parker & Co.?

• Emma Parker & Co. will send you a UPS shipping label, which can then be used to drop off your package at any UPS location.
• As a jewelry vendor, we can arrange for better insurance coverage during transport than is usually available to individual consumers.
• We will add the shipping cost associated with transporting your stone to the final bill. (Feel free to ask us in advance for a shipping quote.)
• This is the most secure and cost-effective way to provide us with a stone ship a diamond to Emma Parker & Co.

If your heirloom diamond is already set in another piece of jewelry, we highly recommend taking it to a local jeweler or appraiser and having it removed from its current setting before shipping it to us.
